Club Committee

👑 President – Captain of the Deep Blue and Strategy
Provides overall leadership and direction for the club, ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and long-term planning. The President coordinates committee activities, chairs meetings, liaises with AU Sport & Fitness, and helps guide the strategic direction of the club. They also oversee grants, policy changes, and major club decisions while ensuring committee responsibilities are carried out effectively.

🤿 Vice President – The Right Hand Diver
Acts as the key support person to the President while helping oversee club safety and day-to-day operations. The Vice President assists with grant applications and helps maintain the club’s safety-related policies and culture. They also step into the President’s role when required.

📝 Secretary – Keeper of the Sacred Docs
Keeps the club organised through effective administration, communication, and record keeping. The Secretary prepares agendas, takes meeting minutes, manages correspondence, and helps maintain club policies and constitutional documents. They play an important role in ensuring information is communicated clearly and efficiently within the club.

💰 Treasurer – Keeper of the Ledger
Responsible for managing the club’s finances and ensuring the club remains financially sustainable. The Treasurer oversees banking, invoices, financial reporting, and budgeting while providing financial advice to the committee. They also help guide pricing decisions and maintain the club’s financial systems and records.

🔧 Equipment Officer – Gear Guru of the Deep
Ensures the club’s scuba equipment and compressors are maintained and ready for use. The Equipment Officer also coordinates servicing, repairs, stocktakes, and equipment purchases while maintaining accurate equipment records. They also provide guidance and training on compressor operation and equipment use.

🚤 Boating Officer – Coordinator of all Things Boating
Oversees the maintenance and operation of the club’s boats and boating equipment. The Boating Officer coordinates servicing and repairs, manages records of qualified boat handlers and towers, and helps organise boating-related training to support safe club operations on the water.

💻 Information Officer – Our Digital Wizard
Maintains the club’s digital presence and communication systems. The Information Officer manages the website, announcement systems, and club email systems while helping document club activities and events. They also oversee updates to online content and help ensure members stay informed.

📣 Social Media Officer – Our Meme Engineer
Helps promote the club through engaging social media content, updates, and member interaction. The role focuses on showcasing club activities, sharing useful information, and building a welcoming online community while also assisting with general club operations and committee support.

🗺️ Trips Officer – Our Adventure Planner
Coordinates local dives, away trips, and social events that help bring the club community together. The Trips Officer helps organise memorable experiences for members, acts as a contact point for trip-related activities, and assists with general club operations and committee support.
