Equipment Hire

Taking pride of place on the water are the clubs two boats Stargazer (2005) and Crayon (1995). Both boats are of a rigid hulled inflatable boat design having fiberglass hulls and inflatable pontoons. This design allows the club to safely and quickly reach off-shore dive sites in boats that by design, are inherently safe and stable. Both boats have a full compliment of mandatory safety equipment in addition to other items the club requires including DAN Oxygen kits. The club maintains a dozen full sets of scuba gear, 25 tanks, countless wetsuits and weightbelts for use by members. To fill tanks the club has two compressor units allowing travel all over South Australia where air fills might not have otherwise been available. The banks tailer is equipped with a high capacity Bauer compressor and banks cylinders allowing the club to take large numbers of members away diving. The smaller Coltri Sub compressor is used by experienced groups heading away to remote locations.

What Members Need:
All members are required to have some basic pieces of equipment that are not available for hire from the club. These are:
Mask
Snorkel
Fins
Wetsuit Boots

These few items are the basics that are needed to get started. All other equipment can be hired from the club at very economical rates. Members need to be prepared to be involved in a club as AUSC is not a commercial charter or shop.
